Pearl Weed (Hemianthus glomeratus, formerly H. micranthemoides) is a popular, fast-growing, bright green, and hardy freshwater aquarium stem plant perfect for foreground carpets or midground bushes. It requires medium light (20-35 PAR) to thrive, is highly versatile (can grow submerged or emersed), and is excellent for absorbing nutrients to combat algae, often used by hobbyists to create dense, bush-like, or carpeted landscapes.

THIS FERN IS INTENDED FOR PALUDARIUM USE AND NEEDS SUFFICIENT HUMIDITY.  It looks like Bolbitis Heteroclita, except it does not have the rhizome like Bolbitis has – that is the visual difference.

Bolbitis is entirely submerged, while the Mediterranean fern can be underwater, but under specific conditions – good flow, an aquascaping light and should have success. The mediterranean fern here needs high humidity – it is not a potted plant, and if you have a humidifier or a mystifier, your fern will thrive. It looks stunning in Paludarium setting.

Everybody knows Java Moss…. it’s such a popular and very easy moss to keep. Sometimes Java Moss can get a bit out of shape and windy everywhere, but it hides baby fish and shrimps so so well. Java moss attaches very well to surfaces once established. It can be glued on wood or tied with fishing line. Java moss responds well to nitrates and well established tanks with adequate lighting. It responds well to GH KH tanks and tap water fish tanks is fine – it will grow with that kH in there. Java likes a temp of 23 degrees +, otherwise it stagnates. Java Moss loves NPK fertilisers also, and of course C02 will boost it, but it can definitely go without C02. Java moss is great like guppy grass to hide baby fishes and I love to watch fish constantly pick at the moss too.

This moss is different! It’s broader rounder “feet” or “ends” make it so unique. It keeps a nice roundish shape from where it grows and shrimp love this moss.
Subwassertang hides shrimp babies well and newborn nano fishes too.
Subwassertang can be a bit tricky to grow, and it also grows slowly,  but once you understand it and give it the right conditions, it will take off.
First, this moss loves to “root” itself. It’s free floating yes and can be tied with fish line to wood or objects, or aquascaping glue, but it likes to touch on soil or get a grip on the wood.
Once it grips, it starts to grow nicely. If it shrinks, then the lighting is not correct. It also shrinks when it’s too cold. Keep it at 23 degrees or above please.
Give it good lighting, mine grows well under white and blue LED lights. If you have a good aquascaping light, or a red white light it’s also fine, I find a bit of Nitrogen and Nitrates then makes it grow well.
This moss in my tanks grow and do exceptionally well where there are other fish that give it “waste” to absorb. Fish waste really does boost this plant. Wherever I keep my angels, guppies, discus, rainbows, etc, it grows well.
Subwassertang does not need fancy fertlisers as much, but if you struggle with your moss, adding seachem excel helps or GH+ for the shrimp keepers also boosts this plant.
Of course, C02 supply also boosts this plant.

Blue moscow Male – BACK IN STOCK

Actual blue delta tail blue moscow guppy males available at Silver Stream right now! Females will be available soon.

The blue moscow may present a purplish tint in the sun in dams or with certain aquascape LED lights!

Our guppies originate from Sri Lanka and have been well dewormed with Praziquantel or with Levamisole, as well as preventatively for Ich.

We are also fully aware of the fin rot and bacterial pathogens that can affect these guppies with their beautiful long tails, so we aim to protect their beatufiful tails and treat with acriflavine

    to prevent fin rot.

Lighting often differs with guppies, so investing in a good bright light is ideal to show your guppies’ full potential colouration.

We keep our guppies in tap water and they love a temperature of 24.C – 26.7C
