The brown turquoise discus is a timeless and elegant tribute to the natural heritage of the species, highly appreciated for its warm, more natural tones. *Note: brown turquoise discus are do mestic, I do not sell any wild discus or F1 or F2 discus. Our brown turquoise discus have good shape and are incredibly inquisitive. They feed from my hands.
Discus are highly social fish, so we strongly suggest purchasing a school of at least 6 Discus to ensure they establish a natural hierarchy and feel safe. Discus thrive across a comfortable pH range of 6.0–7.0, preferring, soft, warm water. Regular water changes and good filtration system are a must to keeping them thriving.
Avoid housing them with fast, hyperactive tank mates or aggressive fin-nippers that might intimidate them or outcompete them for food. Since they are slow, meticulous mid-water feeders that love to graze, feed them a diet of high-quality sinking granules or discus pellet. Include frozen bloodworms, vitamin brine shrimp, and premium beef heart mixes to keep them in the peak of health.
