About the Blue Panda guppy male

The Blue Panda guppy males (Poecilia reticulata) are a blueish purple and black type guppy. Growing to about 3cm only, these top to mid swimmers are beautiful and unique.

These fish are highly curiosity and active, spending their time exploring every level of the aquarium. While they can be kept in small numbers, they truly shine when kept in a group. If you are keeping a mixed-sex group, a ratio of two females for every one male is recommended to ensure the females aren’t overwhelmed by the males’ constant courting displays.

The dwarf panda guppy is also semi-hardy and can adapt to a wide range of water conditions, preferable a pH of 7.0–8 and appreciate slightly harder water, which helps maintain their health and fin quality. They are peaceful community fish. When it comes to food, they are not picky at all. They will enthusiastically accept tropical flakes, micro-pellets, and frozen treats.
