About the Dalmatian Molly

Dalmatian molly is a well known livebearer fish and often recommended for a beginner aquarist. Their friendly, all over dwelling nature makes them enjoyable to view from a distance also. Mollies have a very guppy-like nature, they just grow bigger than guppies and fatter also.

PLEASE NOTE WE SELL MOSTLY JUVENILES 3CM+ , but we try our best to always sell the largest, brightest livestock first.

Mollies can also handle aquarium salt well, even brackish conditions like puffers can handle. We keep ours, however, in normal freshwater conditions.

Please note that mollies may pick on very small fish like nano fish, for example chilli rasboras are too small, but cardinals are okay. Shrimp CAN NOT be kept with mollies, the mollies will chow them for sure.

Quick Care Tips

Social: Community tank fish and do not mind other tank mates. They can bother shrimp so not to keep with shrimp.
Plants: Mollies do like to pick hair algae off plant sand do not harm most types of plants.
Diet: Flakes, pellets, live foods like bloodworms, daphnia, even mosquito larvae.
