Water Sprite 5cm x 5cm

Water sprite can be rooted or floated and it is characterized by its fine fern like texture with bright green lush colour. The water Wisteria has a stem like structure while the water sprite has one base and grows out from there. It is great shelter for smaller fish.

We keep our water wisteria with both neons and soft water condition fishes, but also even with discus! Our water wisteria must have softer water – it does not like tap water or high Carbonate contents like CaC03 in municipal water. Ours currently is 100% submerged. KH of 1 is still ok, and GH of 7-10 is ideal.

If the top water level is very humid above (like a mistifier, or closed aquarium tank lid with space above water) it will even continue growing a bit above the water, slightly emerged.

It is a bit sensitive to fish medications so beware. This plant creates very good oxygen levels for fish. It does absorb excess nutrients but not as fast as Pothos would.

It can feed both from the root but is also foliage feeding , I often find after dosing GH shrimp minerals it really booms.

Do not keep with fish that eat plants.  Water sprite is an excellent choice for CARIDINA shrimps tanks  like red crystal shrimps.

Water sprite is excellent with nano fishes, neons, angels, discus, cories, bettas also do not mind it.
