The Blue Goby(Stiphodon semoni) also known as the Cobalt Blue Dwarf Goby is an awesome addition if you are looking for a small botto m feeder for your tank. Originating from the crystal-clear, fast-moving tropical streams of Indonesia and the Solomon Islands, these slender gobies grow to about 5 cm and possess a unique personality.
They are peaceful with most other non-aggressive bottom feeders such as cories and of course other nano fish species. They are best kept singly, or in opposite sex pairs. Ample territory is recommended for multiple males. Please avoid keeping these guys with other goby types – then they might fight. They can however be kept with bumblebee gobies.
They require a pH between 6.5–7.5 and are sensitive to water quality, so they do best in well-established tanks with high oxygen levels and a moderate to strong current to mimic their natural river habitats. They eat normal fish foods, but especially appreciate small tropical pellet micro sized fish foods and algea wafers. They are currently kept in 25 degrees celcius and harder tap water. They like to rest on sand such as silica sand or fine soil.
